Business Plans
First Place: "Tutela Water"
Laura Cusson, Damon Caughell, Chasen Motley, Lauren Serpa
Targeted towards UCSB students and faculty, Tutela Water hopes to reduce the waste created by the plastic water bottle industry by supplying consumers with stainless-steel water bottles. Tutela will also place purified water dispensers, activated with a prepaid WaterCard, across campus to fill these reusable water containers

Second Place(tied): "Carbon Footprint Consulting"
Jessica Baker, Bridget Bengard, Paola Novo, Shana Rungsarangnot, Teddy Sloan
Located in San Francisco, Carbon Footprint Consulting aims to save money and help the environment simultaneously by assessing each client's impact on the ten largest environmental problems and recommending solutions for a greener future.
Second Place(tied): "Green Room"
Robert Gray, Dustin LaLumandiere, Matthew Nusinow, Marley Pelta, Bryan Zavestoski
Located in Los Angeles, the Green Room will be a high-energy nightclub that combines nightlife, sustainability, and commercial enterprise to create a success and environmentally responsible business.
Third Place: "GreenSkin"
Mallory Reulman, Bret Merchant, Raul Aguilar, Daniela Howard, Justine Wang
Located in Santa Cruz, GreenSkin will offer an environmentally-friendly wetsuit that is affordable, durable, and assessible to men and women of all ages. The wetsuit will be made of "geoprene," which reduces the oil dependency in wetsuit production.
Fourth Place: "Green Cup"
Christen Allen, Theo Jordan, Jack Kelley
Created with Isla Vista in mind, Green Cup will produce plastic cups with a recycling value of $.02 per cup (current plastic cups do not have a recycling redemption value). This will create an incentive to clean the cups off the streets.
